about

In honor of Black Women’s Equal Pay Day on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, the Black Affinity Fam—an employee resource group of Aaptiv—will be hosting a panel-led discussion and mixer to discuss the disparity in pay and the differences it creates.

This day is about recognizing the double bind that Black women encounter in their lives and careers. Every woman deserves to be paid fairly, treated equally, and have the opportunity to achieve her dreams. Diverse teams produce better results, so creating more opportunity isn’t just the right thing to do. It’s also the smart thing to do. Black Women’s Equal Pay Day reminds us how much work we all have to do to make this a reality as Aaptiv grows into a more diverse team.

Will you join us in working to close the gap?

PLEASE NOTE: This event is restricted to anyone 21 & older. Government-issued ID will be required to enter WTC building. Sharp objects and lighters prohibited.

Speakers

Our panel of esteemed speakers is comprised of accomplished Black women who are coming together to discuss career, gender discrimination, and the pay gap. Representing Aaptiv and moderating the panel will be BAF co-founder, Jaz Imani.
